On a whim, we decided to go to Orlando for the weekend. There was no availability at the Fountains, so we decided to stay at the Orlando Sunshine Resort and got a nice bonus time deal for $59/night for a 2 bedroom unit.
For a standard resort, I'd say it was pretty nice. Very close to Universal studios. Nice rooms. It's pretty much the same floor plan as the Fountains with slightly lower quality furnishings (e.g. no granite countertops).
Tennis court, pool, jacuzzi and kiddie pool. Very nice people at check in. Today, I went to the front desk to get some pool towels and the receptionist remembered me from when we came here for refuge from hurricane Wilma. It really adds to our stay when the people are nice. I've found that to be true at all the Bluegreen resorts I've visited.
I am writing this message from the pool area on my laptop. I just signed up for a 3G wireless model and it's not bad. I connect at 1.8M. It's quite a bit better than dial up. But not as good as DSL or Cable modem. I got it because I was tired of dailing up when I go to a timeshare. Now, I can go anywhere there is cell service. It's pricey, but I think I'll keep it.
Headed to Orange Lake Country Club for a couple of days tomorrow.
