Which Myrtle beach resort?

Long drives don't bother me (in fact I dig a good road trip!), but dh not fond of them.

I love a "good" road trip (definition varies depending on who I'm with). I don't like long drives (12 or more hours a day), but I was raised on ten hours trips all through my childhood and still find those fine if I'm the only adult or with siblings or my dad, but not with hubby (hubby doesn't like to get going in the morning and dawdles when you stop so ten hour trips get really late). What I really like is five or six hours with a stop in a park or something somewhere along the way, then getting a place where the kids and hubby go swimming while I have the room to myself for a bit. Those kinda days are totally part of the vacation for me.
