I was hoping around $1500 but I still think that if you use it for 3 or 4 weeks, rent it for 3 or 4 and then get 3 or 4 weeks of points it'll be a good deal.
You're right I would go broke trying to buy more. I also gotta work for a living so I can only take about 5 or 6 weeks off a year.
To me this provides a place to get away to, even though about 8 hours, that would be an alternative to taking the 4 of us on an airplane 3 or 4 times a year. Even with the gas going up!
We have visited this area and think it's gorgeous. Side trips to Washington for a long day as well as Richmond the Civil war battlefields, ski resorts not far and a nice stop over if we're heading further south (to use those points we'll be accumulating).
With 2 of these now I'm guessing I will have just about unlimited use of this facility for the family.
I dare say that I couldn't afford a cabin in this area, with upkeep, utilities and taxes for anywhere near this price. But, I could be wrong.
I think if you measure it by what people are buying and selling the CMV's this is a bargain but I'm obviously in the minority (and happily so with the price I got this for).
I also already own an RCI points in Las Vegas that I can use for pfd.
I hope I don't sound like I'm defending this purchase. the boss ( my spouse) already gave me the OK.
