Hairbrained scheme?

Here's my current situation:

-- 13K points at Lodge Alley
-- loved Charleston, liked CMV, not very interested in other BG resorts
-- favorite vacation area: Europe

I'm trying to decide how to best maximize what I've got, and RCI Points is intriguing because flying to Europe is adding up fast! So here's my current hair-brained scheme:

Is it possible/feasible/advisable to buy a low-cost RCI points entry resort, nab 3 red-week and 2 white-week Big Cedar studios, deposit those 5 weeks for points along with whatever RCI Points week I buy (BG total should be 114,500 points, plus whatever I buy), and get both airfare and 2 weeks of vacation?

Your idea is a good one. But, I am not sure your numbers add up.

1) You can get a cheap RCI Points resort for about $1000 on eBay.

2) You can deposit BG weeks into RCI and deposit them for points. There are better point values than Big Cedar for RCI Points.

3) Airfare to Europe is a lot of points. I haven't checked the point value, but I know it's a lot.

4) RCI Point resorts are very expensive in Europe. I think your best bet for Europe is to deposit 2 white Big Cedar studios into DAE for 4000 points. They have a lot of Europe availability and you will be able to get 2 weeks for 4000 points in Europe.
