Reservation Availability?

We are offseasoners and generally don't care what building/view, as we don't have kiddies that need to be Right By something (and I generally would rather be farther away from The Action than closer to it), and we are unlikely to hang out in the unit looking out anyway.

My most recent trip I did try to get Phase 1 Sunshine only because I could have used Saved Points. given that it was only a month in advance of Spring Break, that building was booked. eh, no problem. 4 nights, did half on current points, half on Bonus Time to conserve the points. Easy.

We roll with whatever. I'm just happy to go on vacation, and thrilled to be able to stay at such nice places (was not ever something I thought we would be able to afford to do). Obviously, everyone is different, has different needs and preferences. If you don't yet know what you want and need, you will find out.

Where do you get information regarding where buildings are and what amenities the buildings might have that would be different from the same roomType in a different building?

Is it from:
-the reservation person at BG
-posts from other people who have visited the resort
-resort information (Is there information online about the building layouts and details about what rooms have?)
-other?

As Boca says, it's a little of everything on your list, but I did think I'd mention that the Bluegreen Resorts website has a lot of info on most of their resorts, including floor plans and a map of the resort. Some of it can be out of date but it's a place to start.

I'll make sure to look at the BG website. I always like to see pictures of the resorts/rooms/etc. I've noticed that there have been quite a few posts on this forum of pictures of resorts. Are there other good places to go to get good pictures (tripadvisor seem to have some good ones too)?

My wife will likely be most interested as to what the inside of the rooms look like and my kids will be focused on the pool(s)/playground/recreational activities.

Does anyone have any favorite resorts their kids enjoyed? (obviously all kids are different but it would be fun to read what your experiences have been)

You might also try the Bluegreen Yahoo Group. A number of members have placed photos of the resorts, of units, of unit locations, etc., on the website. That is also another place to ask questions about resorts, etc.
