I go every year while the boss is down stairs having hear facial (pamper).

We have ours at the Ridge Tahoe and I go for the information but of coarse would not turn down freebies!

They draw names at meeting and give nice gifts from the store in lobby. They give couple bottles of wine or tea shirts or sweaters.

Last year I won a very nice jacket with the Name Ridge Tahoe on it and it was very nice and sells for something like $89.95 in the store.

Just got a call from Christmas Mountain Village to set up our owner update for Sunday. The offer was for 4 passes to Mt. Olympus or 2 (?) Dinner certificates. We are already thinking about doing the City Pass, so we may just opt for the dinner certificates.

I believe the Mt Olympus passes given out at CMV are only for the water park, but you may upgrade for $10 each at the park.
I will be interested to hear your opinions of the city pass, it sounds like a good deal.

At Seabreeze in July we got a $50 visa and $20 restaurant certificate, which because we used the certificate we had to give an 18% tip for good food but very slow and so/so service. The great thing is the sales manager promised me that it would be a long time before I could do another update. That was the best news of the whole update.

We had ours the last week of June 09, at The Fountains. We received 2 - 1 day Disney passes (1 park). They even gave them to us before our update, since our update was scheduled the day after we were going to Disney. We just had to sign an agreement stating we would come for the "update" or they would charge us full price for the tickets.

We have no plans of going for it, but we were just offered a $100 Visa and then they sweetened the pot with an offer of a photo session on the beach, with a free 8x10 of our choice at Harbour Lights. They thought we were just on the Sampler, however, so I dunno if that's standard or just what they're using to get people with a Sampler to come in.

Did ours this past sunday At The Manhattan Club, 15 min. and got two breakfast in owners lounge,Love doing them. 10min. in, I tell Rep. why Iam doing the update, for the give a way, so dont wast your time and mine trying for me to upgrade.its not going to happen,I always get whatever I want resale anyway, they always then glance at my file before them, see that I buy resale, and give me my giveway, I have never had a Rep. that did not thank me for been straight with them

At the beginning of Aug. we went to Laurel Crest and got a $75 gift card for doing the update. It was quite laid-back and relaxed since it is not a sales office. We're going to St. Augustine next weekend but probably won't do anything there because it's only a weekend and a day. -ken
p.s. photos too but we passed on that.

I doubt if many of the questions asked here would ever be answered correctly and/or honestly by a salesman.

I would gladly attend a free "Owners Update" if that is what they were. In fact I would look forward to it.

We get invited to Silverleaf's updates all the time and they offer $150 but it's not really an update. They never answer any of your questions. All they want to do is sell you another week.

But when we go to Landmark, they have an owners meeting every week owners can attend and they really discuss the goings on with the resort. And they always have a Welcome Meeting for everyone and raffle items. This last time they had included money gift cards.
