  • Shenandoah Crossings New Cabins.......

Bluegreen has built brand new three-bedroom cabins at Shenandoah Crossings this year. We have booked a 3 bedroom for late july. I have never been there, can anyone tell me what the new area with all of the new yurts and rv areas are like? The new cabins look great in the pictures, has anyone stayed in one yet?? It also looks as if they have a new pool area there as well. any info is greatly appreciated...........

I used to be an owner at SC, I had about five 2BR UDIs that generated thirty reservations per year. I'm sure the new cabins are great, the old ones were fine, SC is great for a relaxing vacation but if you're looking to be close to DC, you're not. For those that want to be close to DC, I do have a contact with access to 2BR and 3BR 'cabins' right on the Washington DC METRO for a great vacation. Contact them by email at pied-a-terre@prodigy.net and make sure you say you're a TS4Ms member, if you are.

Depends on your definition of "close". 2 hours on a sat morning puts you in the parking lot of the orange line metro.

        Great time in Shenandoah

We just got back from a wonderful time at Shenandoah. We stayed in a 1 bdrm cabin - one of the older, but updated ones. It was great for us. Not fancy, but clean, comfortable, very quiet and private. We did see the new cabins and yurts on the other side and they look terrific. The new pavilion on that side was supposed to open early July, but apparently rain has meant lots of construction delays, so now they are saying late July. Hope it's done by the time you get there. From what we saw it looks like it's going to great. Our family (w. 2 kids) are definitely going back. We spent lots of time riding horses, canoeing, mini golf, playing lots of ping pong. We hardly hit the pool and still had plenty to do. My kids are already asking when we can go back...

If you ever go back, and need some info about the area (if you want to go off site), message me. I live about 30 min away from SC.

Danfam , thanks so much for the info. We are real excited to see the new pool and pavilion areas. I will post a full review when we get back from Shenandoah in early August. Can you give me any other info from other bluegreen resorts you have stayed at. I would like to here either good or bad from any resort. We enjoy both Harbour Lights & Shorecrest in South Carolina. The Fountains in Orlando is Awesome. We go to the Hershey Suites every Nov/Dec and love it. Patrick Henry is in a great location and the new building is very nice.We stayed in Atlantic City last summer and the room was freshley redone and very nice but the rest of the building needed work and was being remodeled (good for Bluegreen owners). The surrounding area was a little slummy, although I here local businesses are trying to reinvest in the city to make improvements. Please give me some info on any other resorts u have stayed at , i would love to hear your opinions......Thanks again.....
