  • Misleading BG Points entry package on eBay

    7000 Bi-annual Points.

Correction. This is an eBay scam intentionally worded to get people to think they are bidding on 7000 annual points when indeed they are not.

This is a bad deal. Sorry for the confusion.

    Too expensive

    Hey Boca,

It's overpriced right now. Note "Points account, points roll over, 7,000 points every other year, renewal date 10/01". So it's actually 3500 annual points, so don't pay over $1250.

      Rob,

That's what I originally thought. But, if you look at the maintenance fee, $378 is exactly $.054/point for 7000 annual points. And, I just checked the maintenance fee book for Mountainloft and the highest annual maintenance fee unit is a 3 bedroom with an MF of $556.

And, the ad says that it is ANNUAL points.

I sent the auctioner an email asking for clarification. It seems to me that that Bi-annual phrase was a left over from a previous ad that the lister accidentally left in.

If these are indeed every other year points, then it's one of the worst deals ever because the maintenance fees are way too high.

I'll post info here when I find out for sure.

Okay, I got an email back from the seller. And, the points are indeed BI-Annual points.

So, THIS IS NOT A GOOD DEAL.

        Sorry about that.

Now, I am somewhat ticked off because the ad is intentionally MISLEADING.

It says annual points on the very first line.

And, they are charging $600 for the closing.

This is a lesson in doing your due diligence.
