Fishing near CMV

My family & I will be at CMV in Wisconsin Dells the week of September 13th.

On Google maps, I noticed Mirror Lakes State Park nearby as well as Lake Delton and other bodies of water.

Any fishing recommendations out there? What locations & what species are make for a good time?

Mostly pickerel & bluegills here at home, but my kids really don't care what kind of fish.

Last fall while there were a lot of people fishing the river where the original ducks were cruising through. Much to my surprise they were actually catching fish. Lake Delton was still empty.

If you do not mind a drive (3 Hours) I can recommend a great Salmon charter in Winthrop Harbor, IL.
