  • Club 36 Advice Please

Can anyone give me the best units to try to get at Club 36, or the units or areas to stay away from? I will be there for a few days in (hot) August and I want to stay at BG Club 36 or the Desert Rose of Shell Vacation Club. Any advice or information will be greatly appreciated.

      Club 36 Advice Please

Thanks for the reference Charles. That info will be very helpful when I call. I had not been able to locate the thread. You are always quick to be helpful and have a great knowledge of the system. I appreciate it very much. Has anyone had the Desert Rose experience? It looks nice online, but I want to try Club 36 also. We are going across from NC in August to visit several National Parks and are thinking about using Las Vegas as a rest stop before beginning the drive back home. Thanks again.

If you haven't made reservations yet, you can ask for a room "facing the Strip". I was just there a month ago and was in room 252 I think it was. There are also rooms that face north and they will have a northerly view of the Strip. LCD TVs in the living room and the bedroom.

If you want internet access in the room do not stay over floor 5. There is a fee to access the wireless internet service. Club 36 does have several terminals in one spot on floor 2 for guests use.

All rooms are nice. If getting a 1BR, get the 'deluxe' version. Good space and an awesome shower.

These were open on the first floor when I was there:
Einstein's Bagel shop - lots of variety
        Subway
        Due' Pizza - great pizzas
        Liquor store

The burger restaurant and the ABC convenience store should be open by now. If not they should be open by end of June. They were installing the interior of the ABC store when I was there.

Club 36 should have their own shuttles running very soon. They had just received their operating certificate for them when I was there.

Awesome heated indoor pool and hottub. Right off the pool room is the sun deck with piped in music. The bar in the pool room is open on weekends.

Club 36 is about 2/3 of a mile from the Strip. Sidewalk all the way if you like to walk. A shuttle can get you there though.

I enjoyed relaxing at the pool and on the sundeck until the afternoon/early evening then hit the Strip to see what was happening. Went to the bagel shop every morning for a bagel. Lunch at Subway. So nice having that right there.

Thanks for the current information. I just booked a few nights in August (hot), so it is good to hear about the shuttle service. Everything sounds great and I appreciate your taking the time to respond. It is what this board is all about.
