If you drive along the main beach road, you will eventually find small free, public lots spaced regularly along the beach. Each holds 10-20 cars and has beach access.

I would suggest calling Shorecrest to see what their restrictions are for day use. They are right on the beach. They may allow you to park at Shorecrest 2 and walk across the street to use the beach access at Shorecrest 1.

Another suggestion is to call Harbor Lights and ask if they are given access to a beach location or know of a place where you can access the beach.

      And welcome to the group.

We have been to Harbour Lights and had no trouble accessing the beach at SHorecrest. We parked at Shorecret 2 and walked across the street. You will need to go into the lobby at Shorecrest and get a parking pass. It was no trouble when we went a couple of years ago.

There is public parking near all the public beaches. But on a nice sunny day you need to arrive early in the morning to find a good parking space. I would also check with Harbour Light to find out how long you can park your auto on a city street? A private public parking lot probably will allow you to park all day.

Harbour lights will give you a pass to the state park which is about 10-15 minutes away. you leave a $20 deposit and get it back when you return the pass. The state park is very nice also.
