This is my second post concerning this issue. Does anyone else out there have one of these 'encore reward' credit cards ???? I'm really losing my patience with bluegreen and the people at barclay who issue these cards. To date i have recieved 0 rewards posted to my internet account, meanwhile my credit card account shows i have over 5000 reward points. No points have been transfered to my internet account. You are supposed to be able to use your points to pay your fees. Now my maintanence fees are due and i can't use my rewards to pay them. Unbelievable. Barclay tells me its bluegreens issue. I call bluegreen and they say they have been waiting for an answer from barclay since march and they can't give me any straight answers. Three months and this problem is still not resolved???????? This is incredibly bad service on both companys part. Has anyone else run into this issue???? Please tell me if you have had this problem resolved.........bluegreens encore rewards department tells me its a problem with everyones credit card account.......

We just signed up for this card back in March 2009. I just checked the Bluegreen website and no points have been added yet. I will attempt to get resolution as well on this. I think that this has been heavily discussed at the yahoo sight as well. This should be a seamless process....

had the card since last November, have atleast 17000 rewards...have only gotten credit for about 2600, first months usage. I was at Big Cedar this past week, and brought it up during my update. Guess they have been hearing it alot. Supposedly, the guy I talked to discussed the issue with the VP of the resort as well as the VP of marketing. I was told that there is some sort of communication error. I think they need to be worried about a class action suit before too awful long. I will be livid if I don't have them to use for my maintenance fees.Comment

this card is a joke, i had it a few years ago and never got anything, i would suggest southwest visa, i earn about 2 free round trip flights per year.Comment

Has this issue been resolved yet? I just got the card too and would like to charge up 1000's of $ to minimize my maintenance fees.

Thankfully my issue has finally been resolved this past month. I now have all of my Encore Reward points credited to my account and plan to use them to help pay some of my maintanence fees. Balance transfers from other cards do not apply and may not be used to gain points. However, any BLUEGREEN based purchases (as in paying Bluegreen dues or fees, booking Bluegreen bonus time etc) will get you DOUBLED encore reward points. This is a pretty cool feature and it is worth taking advantage of. Best of luck with your new card ......Comment

My wife and I were offered our cards at an "Owners Update" when we visited the Hershey Suites. I know you must fill out the application and qualify first. Since it is affiliated with the encore rewards program you could try calling them about it.......Comment

We had an owner update last weekend and we each applied for a separate card at the beginning of the udpate and we were both approved. I thought the only way you could get it was if you bought points. This was the way it had been in the past. We did buy points (usually we only buy resale but this was a special circumstance for alot of reasons that we bought from the developer) but we were approved before we had even been offered to buy points. So would we have actually been allowed to get them, I don't know. But it was interesting because, they wanted us to both apply because they can only do a maximum of so much on each card so that way they could do the max on both cards. Then they had us do another card of ours for the balance and said we could do the 0% interest balance transfer on the BG card and still get the rewards on it and now this thread is saying we won't get the rewards on the balance transfer. Well, we will have a bone to pick with the powers that be at Mtn. Run over that one. Of course, as you know, I don't have it in writing. And they will be so sure of this. Well, they were wrong on other things that I straightened them out on too.Comment

Hopefully your sales people were telling you the truth. Our particular cards do NOT allow you to get REWARD POINTS from balance transfers(and that was explained to us because we did ask about it), but we got our cards over a year ago. Perhaps they have changed the rules on the newer cards or maybe it's a promotional deal at this time. Then again..... maybe they did give you false info......it would'nt be the first time thats happened......Comment

We signed up for our cards at an owners updates about 3 weeks ago at Seaglass Tower. We didn't buy any points . Received our cards a week later. They did tell us that we both should apply for them because they can only give a credit line of so much and if you wanted more you would have to contact the credit card company. When we received the cards our credit line was alot more then they said we would be able to get.
Also you cannot get reward points for balance transfers. Just got off the phone with the credit card company and was told you don't receive any points for balance transfers. The only thing you get is 1,000 points for using the card the first time. You get this wether you do a balance transfer or just use it to charge your first item..Comment

I'm sure it was hogwash after reading these posts. I will be sure I speak to them about it although there is nothing they will be able to do about it but I will speak to them about it, living only twenty minutes away. I am not about to stay quiet. I can push the elevator button to easily get up to the sales floor now--no problem getting past the receptionist desk, the elevator is before the receptionist desk!Originally posted by BeerTentRichComment

Encore Rewards MC
The last update I attended was at Laurel Crest in early September. I was offered the card, and told how much you can save by accumulating points to pay fees, but They told me I couldnt have a card if I didnt do an upgrade right then and there. Bottom line, I dont have a card.
