Help, BG and RCI question

We like to go to Panama City--Gulf Shores area. BG is limited there, as are my points.

Explain what it means and how to bank points with RCI, how is it done, if you bank 3,000 and do not use 1,000 do you lose the 1,000???

Can I take back points not used??

You do not bank points with RCI. Your reserve a week with BG and then deposit that week with RCI.

If you have 4000 points in your BG account and reserve a 3000 point BG week, you still have 1000 points left in your BG account. You can then use the 1000 points to reserve at a BG resort for weekday stays. If you don't use the points, you lose them when they expire.

If you don't think you will use the 1000 points, then I would reserve a better BG week using all 4000 points which, when you deposit with RCI, should give you better trading power.

You must book a full week with BG - 7 nights. So you have to have enough points to do that.

And, the unit must be bankable and have the right check in day for the unit to be deposited. Bluegreen reps know how to figure that out. Just tell them that you want to deposit the week and to whom you want to deposit it.

I too want info on this

We want to bank for a BIG family trip to the netherland May/June2011.
Our points for this year will be rolling over Oct 1st
1) should I book an exchange week in high red before Oct 1st and borrow from the next year on Oct 1st and try to get another week at the same resort same week or near there
OR
2)should I wait til Oct 1st and borrow then bank all my points to get 2 weeks in the largest rooms I can in red?

We get 8000 points every other year
we want to travel to the netherlands with a large group 7-9 adults and 2 kids will this even be possible with such few points?
