  • Need Info on Patrick Henry Square, Williamsburg

Can anyone give me a review of this place?
I have just discovered a website with a picture of this place (formerly a Best Western) and it does NOT look very good. I have stayed at Harbour Lights, we will be going to The Fountains at Christmas, and this place is not up to the quality we are use to.

I am very upset about our upcoming stay on the 17th through the 19th of July.
If anyone can give me information that will ease my mind, I would appreciate it.
We have a 2Bdr suite at the Patrick Henry Square.
    Please HELP!!!
E-mail me directly ASAP at madtak5@dejazzd.com

    Thanks,
    Sandy

Well, it's not in too bad a location--and it's a recent redo----so it might be fairly nice.

It depends. Are you in the old hotel (is it still operational?) or the new sections they are building.

If its the new sections, then your good. They are brand new, with all the amenities. If, however, they are still operating the hotel, and thats where you are at. Run. Now. Don't go. Its a rat trap.

Edit, I just realized you said 2bdrm suite. I think you will be fine. I toured the new ones, they are nice.

        October visit

My wife and I have a reservationfor a week in October in a studio unit. It does not indicate if we are in the hotel or not. Should we call to be sure we are in the new units? If not should we cancel or try to change the reservation. We are Silver members. We also have reservations to tour the Capital and are waiting to hear if we will be touring the White House.

The hotel is a piece of...well, you get the idea. Do what you think you need to do.

This is a t/s that was want a average motel in Williamsburg. The location is great for a vacation in Colonial Williamsburg. We have driven pasted this t/s many of times but we have never stayed at this resort.

So VA Traveller, you're saying that a studio is in the old hotel?

I have stayed in the Patrick Henry square in 2 bedroom in new side. It is nicely decorated with dish washer, stove top, microwave and smaller full-size refrigerator(no oven). It is much smaller than most of the other 2 bed BG places. Kitchen, Dining room living room all in one. The bath off the main bedroom is long counter and only shower(no bath tub). There is a separate laundry room on the floor which was accessible with room key-pass. I had to check-in & out through the old motel. Clearly it is an olde motel and should be demolished. I got lost in the basement (banquet hall??) I was waiting for the completion of some horror movie to jump out. Seems they have had considerable problems with water leaking in olde motel. Computer usuage is around behind main desk in main desk office that needed a good cleaning. Wireless internet available for BG usual arm&leg fee. It is conveniently located on edge of Colonial Williamsburg so you can walk to down town without having to drive there. Staff I found to be very helpful and friendly.

                  No Worries.......

You have the two bedroom booked so you are definitely in the new building, wich is very nice. Great location and very friendly staff. I have stayed there twice and have zero complaints........... enjoy your trip

we stayed there late march. looked like the old part was unused except for the desk. unit was fine but small, kitchen especially. typical BG conversion. -ken
p.s. don't get locked out of your bedroom; the lock button can bump into br furniture and set, unbeknownst to you.

                        williamsburg

I stayed at the PHI on a weekend, in the new building, and it was fine. The units are smaller than other two bedroom units I have stayed in, but they were very nice. You shouldn't have any problems. It is nice to be able to walk to Colonial Williamsburg.
