Sampler and nemb questions

We purchased a sampler on 8-7. How long will it take before we csn make reservations?
I've heard 5-30 days
Also would anyone be kind enough to let me know what is available from nov 8 - nov 12? In a 1bdroom delux or smaller?

There is alot of bad comments on the web about BG and it makes me a little nervous about the system. I'm a numbers type of guy and understand the booking in advance for hot weeks etc. Plus as a family we are like ...nothing in branson? Ok myrtle beach has something.... Were not spoiled vacationers and should be able to plan a year ahead for our main summer week.

If/when we buy it'll be resale from Boca.

That's just the Branson area, if you are interested in other areas such as Myrtle Beach there is quite a bit of availability there too.

We hopefully have a time picked out to goto myrtle beach.....

For november could also consider gatlinbergh again or CMV.... Don't really want to goto CMV but my wife does...lol

Anyone know how long it'll take till we can book with the sampler?

I have heard it can be considerably quicker than they say. I think we called in at three or four weeks and were in the system. A week or more earlier than the salesman said, at any rate.

Last I knew, you're not considered an owner and so even when you can make reservations you likely can't get into the owner's part of the website, so I'm guessing you won't be able to look up availability on your own. But, as it obvious, people here are pretty good about checking for you.

I had read that somewhere on here. I read all the posts back to the beginning of last year... I think...

I called and the days we want at MB and room size is available. The BG people are really nice on the 800 number. I'm just impatient is all... Even though it takes 4 weeks to get in their system... By the time we leftt they had already hit my acct for the deposit.... Such is life.

Was told if I can reach my salesman that they could call and book the room for me but no such luck getting a return call.

Hopefully it will all work out and we get our places booked and fall in love with BG and can get lots of points from Boca!

We have been owners since 2005 and are now Silver. We have been on many week long and weekend vacations during this time, but I wish we had moved up by buying resale instead of through update meetings.
I would highly recommend The Falls Village and Big Cedar in Missouri. Branson is a lot of fun for older people, and the fishing on Lake Taneycomo is great.
We have also been to Myrtle Beach, Daytona, St. Augustine, Orlando and Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge. We will be going back to Williamsburg, VA in October.
We also started with a Sampler package and used that to stay at Big Cedar in 2005. We have really enjoyed BG since we learned how to usr the system.

Thanks for the info about your experience with Bluegreen. Lots of people do google searches to learn more about Bluegreen after they attend a sales presentation. They read these complaint boards and get a very bad impression of Bluegreen. I think what you say above is absolutely correct, the key to being happy with Bluegreen is that owners need to learn how to use the system and have a reasonable expectation about what it will actually do for them as opposed what they were led to believe.

I believe that owners on this board tend to view Bluegreen and the Bluegreen Vacation Club positively because they have the right expectation of the Club and have learned how to make the Club work for them.

One of the best features of this owner community is that we can inform less experienced owners on how the Club actually works and help them to have the right expectations for how the Club can work for them.

Falls Village vs Big Cedar in Nov.

One thing to consider if you go to Branson is what you plan to do when you are there. If you plan on going to shows, touring the lights, Silver Dollar City, etc. The Falls is a better choice. The Falls is in town and an easy drive to the different attractions. If you plan on spending most of the time at the resort Big Cedar is the better choice (Big Cedar is decorated very nicely during the Christmas season). It is a good 15-20 minute drive into Branson from Big Cedar any time you want to go anywhere. Also, most of the activities at Big Cedar have incidental fees so be prepared to spend money for most of the on site activities.

Recent BG Sampler Purchase as well

I am so relieved to finally find some nice information about our purchase. Thanks for being candid and helping us figure out what we need to do. We also purchased a sampler package on July 28 and I plan to call this week to see if we are in the system early (as most have noted).

We are ready to get our adventure started and are willing to be flexible. I appreciate those owners who have researched some dates for others, and may ask the same of forum members later. Thank you for sharing your information and time. I now will be much calmer about our upcoming adventure.

I would also not hesitate to call owner services and ask if there is any way to have your sampler expedited so you could make a reservation. And call every few days. It seems to me the samplers should be able to be quickly put into the system since it is not an ownership. But then if I was a buyer, I wouldn't want a sampler put ahead of my buyer transaction! But who would know! Might be a different desk/employee/department anyway.

I also suggest joining the Yahoo Bluegreen Owners group. It's a bit of a different type of venue. I find it easier to use than this forum. I'm not being negative of this forum. I enjoy this one also and it might just be that I was hooked on the Yahoo one first. I find both of the forums to be very helpful and I encourage people to join both of them. (Others prefer this one.)

cif you are not in the system when you call.... Have your contract # and name of place you bought it and ask if they could do a "contract confirmation"... It takes 72 hours and they should have the info back and you should be able to book.

Thanks for the info Crazyseany. I called as you suggested because I am anxious about getting fall reservations. The rep told me she had to check for availability before we could do a confirmation. She then told me there was no availability at Wilderness Club for Oct 14 - 16, so she would not be able to do the confirmation. Did they do this availability check before they confirmed your contract? Someone here has already checked for the first two weekends in Dec that we were interested in and there is no availability. I am beginning to get nervous about being able to use this sampler since it appears the times we need are already full. Since we are in Oklahoma we really only bought it to experience Wilderness Club. We have been to Branson dozens of times and are not interested in staying at the Falls location.

From what I've read that I pretty short notice for big cedar... Someone checked a week in nov for me and it was available but only in a studio (which would of been ok for just the wife and I.

What size room are you looking for...? Maybe someone will do a search and see when something would be available.....

The 1st reservation we wanted to make was in Myrtle Beach in Dec.... So it was open..
We also made a list of places we might want to go in Nov. My wifes 1st choice was CMV... There was plenty of availability...as it is a blue week.

Maybe call back tell them you are looking at going to CMV in Nov.... And see if they'll confirm your contract then....

Not sure if its a good or bad thing but we live in NE ohio and everything is 6-1@ hrs away (branson is 12 and FL about 18hrs)
