Considering a resale purchase, need help...

Hi there - I am thinking about buying 22,000 annual points for $1,500 from a coworker who's kids are now grown and he wants out.

1) Does $1,500 seem to be a fair price or are there better deals for 22k points? The maint. fees are just over $1k/yr.

2) The maint. fees are due Nov. 1. Is this a good or bad thing if I want to use the points for Myrtle Beach, high-red months?

Also, if you have any other thoughts, please post them.

There's at least a $475 transfer fee....

Sounds like a reasonable price but remember that their silver charter and the "other" perks won't transfer....

So you will get the 22000 yearly pts & the RCI membership....

Yes, that is correct. The total will be around $3,000 after maint, and transfer fees.

What does Silver Charter mean? And, after the purchase, how can I get a charter and what will the cost be?

Also, is a Nov. 1 anniv. date bad or good if I want summer Myrtle Beach bookings? I'm just not sure what the impact of the anniv. date is.

That's a really great price. I would take it if I were you. I can help you close it if you need help. The rate is the same as Resort Title at $475 and we can get it done in about 4-6 weeks instead of 4-6 months.

You will not be able to get Silver Premier benefits, though. If you are interested in getting them with this package, it's possible, but will cost you a bit more money.
