  • 4000 Bonus Anniversary Points

I have been an owner for a year now and I noticed on the bottom of the bluegreen website an ad that said 4000 bonus vacation points. When I clicked on it, it said that I could use these "free" points at any club or club associate resorts with blue or white seasons.
I have not activated the points yet because I'm not sure if there is a catch. Does anyone know if this is truely free or not?

One upon a time, I did get some added points one time for another issue, and I was able to use them at Christmas Mountain Village with no problem. So, unless something has changed, they are yours to use for any blue or white week. That does limit your use because of the resorts that have blue and white weeks. The cheapest week at CMV is 5000, so you may need to use some of your own points to make it a week, or just stay the amount of time you want using their points.

Well I clicked on the activate points button hoping to see some more details and maybe a confirmation button but as soon as I clicked on it I instantly got 4000 points that expire Aug 31,2010. Hopefully there isn't a catch.

Nope, these are free points you get when you make a purchase directly from
        Bluegreen.

          4000 points are a gift

When you purchased your ownership you should have been told 4000 bonus points will be available to you on your first anniversary. They are free and there are no maintenance fees associated with these bonus points. They are good for 1 year and must be used in blue or white season. Enjoy them, have a good time. There is no gimmick.

I too saw the flashing advertisement -at the bottem left of the screen- while on the Bluegreen website offering 4000 anniversary points. I too got 4000 points! We last upgraded in May 2008, so these 4000 points expire May 2010. Wished I would have known earlier though they are limited use- but a free weekend in a low travel season is not so bad. Thanks for the tip or I might of missed it completely!
