I went to the Bluegreen Vacation Club annual meeting yesterday and took a lot of notes. I will post a more complete report later this week.
This year was a bit different than in year's past. We had the auditorium for the meeting and several additional executives came to the meeting to present to us. David Pontius, President of Bluegreen Resorts, gave us a Corporate update and described in some detail how the company managed through its transition. He also told us more about the Fee for Service business and how Bluegreen is using it to give it the ability to sell a lot more product.
Wendy Poe presented for Bluegreen Club Services. She is responsible for owners services, the contact centers and some other important functions in Bluegreen.
Kathy Foster, President of the Bluegreen Vacation Club, gave the remaining information. Terry Dodd, VP of Development was also there giving insights of new resort developments.
For now, I will just post the new maintenance fees. There will be some special assessments this year due to some unanticipated renovations at Casa Del Mar. More on that later.
Here are the new Trust Fund budgets:
Trust Fund E: $310 plus $.0405/point. Proposed special assessment is $.0035/point ($35/10000 points).
Trust Fund D: $.065/point. Proposed special assessment is $.007/point
Trust Fund C: Underlying fee raised by 5%
Trust Fund B: $170 lus $.063/point. Proposed special assessment of $.025/point.
Trust Fund A: Pass through.
