  • Cypress Point Grand Villas

I currently own points through Wyndham but have been looking to buy something else through another developer. A friend of the family recently approached me and asked it I would be interested in taking 20,000 or 30, 000 pts that his father-in-law wants to get rid of. Still a lot of information is unclear because he himself or his father-in-law I don't think understands it completely.

I'm curious, with all the changes that have been taking place in Diamond would I only be able to use those pts at Cypress Point or is it part of a collection or would I be able to use the pts at any of Diamonds properties worldwide? If it is limited to a collection is there a way I can find out what the other resorts in the collection are? Also, if by buys these pts I don't have access to all their resorts is there a fee that I can pay to Diamond that would allow me to access all the resorts?

Any info that could shed light on how this would work and what would be available would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Stacey Andres

You need to determine if the basis for the ownership is
    1) A deed at CPGV
    2) A membership in DRUSC - DRI US Collection

If 1) then you may only make reservations at CPGV
If 2) then you may make reservations in the 19 or so DRI managed resorts in the US Trust

You will not be part of THE Club unless you pay DRI more money to join or buy points retail.

Please read through all the information in stickies at the top of this forum.

Thanks for the reply. I don't want to be stuck with access to only one resort and want access to at least everything in the US Collection and perferablly the entire collection. I made a couple calls yesterday to Diamond and it seems like it is about $3000 fee to access everything.
