And the winner can also pick a second week for resort transfer cost only - most of them aren't ownerships worth having, but there are some in the list that could be worthwhile.

Wonder how ROFR will go with that one? If the developer exercises- do they also have to take the BOGO week!

I see KBC for pennies on the dollar all of the time...yet I don't jump on it. Why? High MF for a smaller TS with no W/D and no full Kitchen. I would rather jump on Sands of Kahana down the street. HUGE units, full kitchen, W/D. The only draw to KBC is the Diamond Points program, but there is no guarantee that they will let you join, and if they do, it will cost you $2995.

And that also raises the issue of whether the auction would have attracted more bidders if Diamond didn't have a ROFR. IOW, might the ROFR have actually contributed to the low auction price???

good deal for both the Buyer and Diamond. Buyer gets wonderful vacations, and Diamond (hopefully) gets a body to pay the M/F's.

The thing on this one is that closing costs were included, which made it a decent deal. However, is was an EOY unt. It's also been listed a couple times.

KBC prices on ebay have been that low for some time. An annual 1BR sold last week for about the same price + closing fees. I would agree that MFs have really driven the appeal of this resort down. I can rent just as nice a condo with a full kitchen/etc for the same from a private whole ownership owner. A number of Diamond points owners can book KBC for much less than this MF. There's also a lot of KBC inventory available for exchange via GPX exchange network.
