Adding resale points

I have an existing deeded ownership of Diamond resort points. I bought these directly from the resort. (originally in Sedona and again in Orlando). I am looking to add more points and it seems much cheaper to buy resale. I am already a member of the club. I understand the Club membership does not transfer with resale points. Can I buy some points resale, then add a token amount of points from a resort, pay a small fee (there's always a small fee) and lump them all in one?

I understand that Diamond is converting ILX memberships at no charge to people who are already in the club. You can get these for little to no cost -- I'm thinking of giving mine away -- and get 6000 points for a 1 br unit. Let me know if you (or anyone) is interested.
