Thanks for sharing. We'll be there (at the Villas de Santa Fe) soon and it was nice to see your pictures. This will be the first time we've stayed in this timeshare in Santa Fe.

It has a nice location. About a 1/2 mile walk to the Plaza area or a very short drive to the nearest parking garage on the Plaza. Parking rates are reasonable ($9 max I think) if you're driving or, the resort has a free shuttle to take you there.

There's not much in the was of a view from most units unless you enjoy watching cars come and go from the parking lot. A few units overlook the small patio area with the grills and hot tub. There are many restaurants within walking distance if you're so inclined. We generally prefer to walk.

There appears to be quite the number of homeless hanging around. This makes me feel a little more secure either driving or taking the shuttle. On the other hand, I could get out one of my long lenses, sit on a bench for a couple of hours and get several interesting candid people pictures of some rather interesting looking people.

Thanks for the information. We been to Santa Fe several times, and have stayed in two other timeshares, both closer to the plaza. Haven't noticed a lot of homeless in previous trips, but those were during the winter and maybe they go elsewhere when it gets really cold. The walking distance doesn't bother us, I hope we don't get deterred by other reasons.

Any good finds as far as restaurants, or "must sees"?

Nothing I'd write home about. We enjoyed walking around the Plaza area and window shopping. The Loroto Chapel with it's miracle staircase was interesting.

We just got back from our stay at the Villas de Santa Fe. Enjoyed it very much. We didn't notice a large number of homeless. Maybe they had moved on. We walked to the Plaza daily, sometimes more than once a day. I added a review with some of the things we did, and places we ate, and enjoyed.
