BOD announces Diamond Resorts Management, Inc. back in effective 1Sep11 and sometime in 2012 the resort name will change from Cypress Pointe Grande Villas to Grande Villas Resort. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

The change to DRI management is effective 9/1 (they are already handling check in/out front desk operations). The name change has also occurred, but it will be a few months before all the signage / stationary is changed over. There is only one Cypress Pointe Resort now as it was first designed to be.Originally posted by Spence
It does NOT effect the ability/right of owners / guests to use all the on site amenities of both resorts as the two Associations agreed to continue that desirable feature. -
I thought I read here or OY that the regular Cypress was going to be branded Holiday Inn?

Huh? Where did THAT come from? Orange Lake has been rebranded to the rather low brow Holiday Inn (and they have reportedly bought inventory & management of a few other resorts like Summer Bay in Las Vegas) but there has never been any talk of Holiday Inn & Cypress Pointe Resort. It stands as a proud, independent, owner controlled Association since 1998. Grande Villas Resort, formerly known as Cypress Pointe Grande Villas, is also under owner control and they have opted for management by DRI effective 9/1/11. It was their choice & they have that right. They are also constructing their own Clubhouse/Front desk building they hope to have open by mid-2012. Meanwhile Cypress Pointe Resort will be heading into round 2 of the massive unit renovation that brings all units up to the level of the 2009 Model (granite contertops, new tile flooring, all new built in cabinetry, doors on the bath aeas, new colors and much more.
