Thanks for all the great advice here. However, one question I have I cannot seem to find an answer to.
I'm currently a member of the Hawaii Collection trust. All is paid up and, I too, am upset about the water intrusion special assessment, but thinking to the future since we have been happy with what we bought into about 10 years ago, we may wish to add a bit to our points. I see many questions and answers about conversion from a deed to points/trust and even just buying points through the resale market and then finding ways to buy into The Club.
However, my question is, since I am already in the trust and already in The Club, can I buy points in the resale market and add them into my account? I realize there will be the associated increase in maintenance fees, but will I still have to jump through hoops with DRI since I'm already in The Club and trust?
Many thanks in advance,
Chris
