  • 2008 Mf

I was looking to prepay my 2008 fees so that I can bank the week early. I called Sunterra to get the amount due. They said they would use the 2007 MF for 2008 and make an adjustment next year if needed. Ok no problem. I asked her that I would assume I would pay MF plus taxes so she brings up my account, she pulls up my account and see that we had an special assessment this year. She then said I would have to pay everything billed this year for 2008 (including the assessment and they would "work it out later" and apply it to 2009. Is that the way Sunterra works, or should I just call back and talk with someone else? I sent out an email, but I have not heard anything as of yet (it has been over a week)

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

I don't think, of late, I've had to pay MFs in advance. I know I made all my Summer 2007 reservation 6-8months ago and I didn't pay MFs for 2007 'til they were due.

Call again and see if you have to pay 2008 MFs to make a 2008 reservation. Let us know the answer(s).

      Called them again

I have a fixed week, and I was looking to bank the week with one of the exchange companies (most likely SFX). It is my understanding that I would have to pay 2008 before I could do this. I called Sunterra again this evening and I was told I can just pay 2008 m/f without paying the assessment again. (it would have been like paying 2008 & 2009) It took a while on hold but it was worth it!

Now that you've given us more information (fixed week) that is the answer I would expect. I shoulda figured it out from your first sentance. My answer was predicated on their current product, Club Sunterra.
