  • Sunterra survey

So I recently bought into Club Sunterra and today I got an e-mail from the big cheese at Diamond. A bunch of questions about what is most important to me on a scale of 1 to 10. Stuff like "A great bathroom" or "superior quality bedding & linens."

No place for comments or suggestions. The new owner seems to already have an agenda since most of the questions had to do with amenities. Not that that is a bad thing. One series of questions were very focused on owning or reserving in Europe.

Has everyone gotten this e-mail or is it just because I'm a new member?

Haven't seen it. Someone needs to tell him where he can put his duvets.

I guess you aren't a fan of Diamond?

I've not heard anything good to date from prior Diamond owners and I've not been impressed with the quotes I've seen from the new boss. Supposedly he's shaking things up with white glove inspections at the resorts checking the tops of doors for dust, etc. Only time will tell.

I got it, and filled it out. I also agreed to take future surveys for which Diamond has offered a $100 voucher to be used on a future visit.

A few days after a reservation with an agent (not online), I received a survey call by a man with a strong Indian accent, who doesn't know where Ontario is.

There were about 10 questions, from 1 to 5. At the end, I was asked if I wanted to provide any additional comment.

The survey was done professionally. No sales.

That's silly, everyone knows Ontario is in California, an alternate/sometimes cheaper airport for Los Angeles.

                  Come on, Spence. Get real!!

Ontario is in eastern Oregon, about an hour west of Boise. It's where TaterTots come from. If not for Ontario, huge numbers of US school children would have had much more boring hot lunches. (TaterTots are exactly the right size and weight for use as medium to long-range ammunition in a food fight.)
“Maybe you shouldn't dress like that.”

“This is a blouse and skirt. I don't know what you're talking about.”

                  “You shouldn't wear that body.”

What does a TaterTot plant look like?

No No! Ontario is the place were some hockey team just lost some kind of cup?

But seriously, I'd love to buy into sunterra but since this buyout( merger) ? along with the confusing rules concerning resales (buying more points to convert, ect.) I think I'll stay on the sidelines for awhile to see how this plays out.

Tater Tot plants are real easy to spot when you drive by one. Here's an aerial view of the one in Ontario.

I don't expect major changes, but maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised. There are no confusing rules concerning resales, there are no rules. If you read all the threads in this forum you'll be on top of it.

No, no, no, not that kind of plant, the ones out in the field.

That's what the aerial photo is - that was a field and then they built the Tater Tot plant. So that is exactly what a Tater Tot plant in a field would look like.
