My parents own Club Sunterra points thru a purchase of the Hawaii trust. They have banked the first year's points and would like to book 2 units to stay in next year, using all of their '07 and '08 points. Can they book both rooms 13 months ahead or are they limited in the number of points they can use during that booking window?

My understanding is that they gave up their 13month priority on the points they saved from '07->'08. You can only use the '08 points for 13month and the rest at 10months. That doesn't mean they shouldn't try, but don't be disappointed when they say no.

Thanks. That is what I thought from reading the Sun Glances guide, but I am sure it is not what they are expecting.

I thought that another possibility would be to book 2 units for S-Th nights which equals the same # of points as 1 week. Then, at the 10 month window, they could book the the weekend nights. I own at DVC and weekend nights are usually easier to book because of higher point values. Is this true for Sunterra as well? It looks like this will cost them 10% more SunOptions, unless they can link the reservations and then get the weekly rate?
