  • Bought deeded FL week on ebay...

Hi. I bought a deeded floating annual usage week at Scottsdale Villa Mirage on Ebay. If I want to add this to my Club Sunterra membership (I get points each year for my Hawaii timeshare). Can this be done at any sales center or only at the Scottsdale sales center? I ask because some have said that a better deal for buying extra points and having resales added to the club may be obtained in Las Vegas. Also, I used the 2008 sunoptions directory and added up all the points and divided by 52 and got 5700 points and change (based on a 1 bedroom annual floating week unit). Is this the point value per year I would get for transferring this into the club or would it be rounded up or down to the nearest 500 points--or is all this negotiable as well. Thanks in advance for any advice.

You can correspond with any sales center you like. The number of points you get for the conversion of the week will not be negotiable and my guess is 5500. The number of extra points you have to buy and their price is not a fixed target although 2000pts/$5000 is typical. A 'grandfather' clause that lets you book any SVM week such as a holiday week for only your allotted 5500 (or whatever) is also negotiable.
... not enough time for all the timeshares ®
