How are the Hawaiian resorts doing for July and Aug of 2008?
The window for me at Hawaii resorts is at 10 months so I can't look into July & August yet.

As to SLB, I checked through August and there are no full weeks available, just partial weeks. The website is real hard to use for just browsing. It definitely is not user friendly.

I have 2 deeded mini-suites at San Luis. I was never able to book 4th of July week, but then I didn't really try too hard. That would be the last week I would choose to visit, personally. I was able to book Easter vacation very easily. I found that these units didn't have much trading power at II. I had been toying with the idea of selling them & finding a 1 bedroom resale. Rather than go to the trouble, I converted them (for no fee) when I bought into Sunterra. They are now part of my pool of points & more usable for me. At least I hope so. We shall see.

If you are looking for a one bedroom scenic view, ocean view, and deluxe ocean it looks like lots of different dates are open July and August at KBC right now.

No two bedrooms that I could see.

Thanks...since I will/am only working with a 10-mo priority window given my membership, I have to look again in a month (not sure if my CS acct will be setup by then, crossing my fingers for a fast Sunterra/DRI processing )

English is my third language, so you guys have to bear with my spelling and grammatical mistakes. I come here to learn TS not English though.

Spence is great and knows Sunterra inside out.

To respond to your invitation Winger, my experience trading to Marriott's is not useful to you because I travel during shoulder seasons, i.e. from May to June and October to November to take advantage of lower airfare and to avoid the crowd. I went to Hawaii only once (Sea Village), since the flight time is like 16 hours, including connections, so Hawaii is not very appealing to me.

In my 10 years with Sunterra, the first three was with RCI, which was like a joke. I booked all vacations in the first 5 years with Sunterra mainly to their European destinations.

The next 5, I have booked into Marriott properties in Palm Desert, Newport, Fort Launderdale (x2) and Aruba.

After said that, I have seen too many Marriott inventory via II, but don't know the summer/school holiday scenario. I don't know if you have a better chance placing an ongoing research.

Marriott weeks are always available or not difficult to find in some destinations like Palm Springs, Las Vegas (which you are not interested in), Florida and Aruba.

I am still hooked with Europe. Have 5 weeks booked in Paris, Hungary and Scotland. Marriott is my second choice, after Europe.

While it has been obvious that English is not your first language, I wish my French, Spanish, German, Italian, and Southern were has good as your English!

I have traded to Europe only once or twice. Trying to book during school holidays has been close to impossible as the European owners have two months to book the holidays before us US owners can 'see' them.
