Cloobeck
Frankly surprised you heard from Mr. Cloobeck directly. I have emailed the company several times and all I get is a response from someone else with a long story about how great they are and that I am not using the system properly. Amazing that you can't book many places even a year or more in advance when in fact the company is selling space to people they want to entice to join. Where are the priorities? Seems obvious to me.

That said, Cloobeck does have a reputation for sometimes getting personally involved in some issues at DRI is a very positive way. Perhaps this is one of them.
Ian Podesta is an urban legend, a former exec with Sunterra (DRI's predecessor) turned whistleblower who brough Sunterra crashing down, at which time DRI picked it up for a song. He came to be known as ''Ipod'' during that effort.
The Scottish families raised a real ruckus with Sunterra with several websites, one of which was entitled ''Sunterror'' and another ''Sunterrafied''. One of them even bought an old ambulance, had it repainted as the SCAMbulance with various anti-Sunterra slogans and drove it around to various Sunterra sales sites to run off their prospects. Supposedly, Cloobeck settled very early after DRI bought Sunterra on the Scottish claims, and the websites were taken down. This post makes it appear that somewhere along the line, DRI must have renigged on the settlement.
