  • Notice of Annual Meeting; who would you vote for??

I just received a proxy ballot with nominees for board of directors for Club Sunterra Vacations Members Association. The meeting will take place in L.V. on 10/25. I don't plan to go and don't know anything about the candidates. Two directors will be elected, and I can vote for 2. They are: Clive Arlington, Michael Karr, John Taylor, Jason Toste, Marilyn Windsor, Charles Witten, and (write-in). From the candidates summaries it looks like Toste and Windsor are Sunterra employees.

I don't know the rest but I would recommend a vote for Mr Witten.

I would also strongly recommend a vote for Mr. Witten.

Thanks guys, I'd certainly appreciate your votes. While I expect the Sunterra candidates to win. They were getting tired when they got down to my bio, misspelling my name within the body and then substituting another candidate's name within my bio. I'm a little upset, they refused to send out a correction and were quite nasty about it at the VP of HOA level.

And just to clarify: Spence = Charles S.D. Witten

Independent directors are important. Witten and the other non-employee who seems to be the strongest challenger. Anybody but an employee!

            Annual Meeting Ballot

I know Spence will be going to the meeting, so it is possible to assign our votes to him as proxy as well.

He has my vote for the board, and can vote my shares as well.

I know of no one more qualified to speak for us and represent us all!

              Who?

Who (besides Spence) is a non=employee? Guess I'm a little dense, couldn't figure it out.

              Thanks!

Maybe the new owner will open the floor to allow Spence W name to be added to the ballot?

From the responses here I deduced that Spence is Mr. Witten. He has my vote. It's in the mail!

Toste and Windsor are the employees. Anyone else would be a non-employee.

Spenc! you have my vote, now how the hell do I vote when I have not even gotten a ballot yet? Should I expect to get one if I am a new CS owner ???

If I get my ballot in time, how does this proxy thing work? Do I just verbally tell Spence to take my vote and put his name on it???....

update, I called CS cust svc, they will have a ballot sent out to me in a week.

questions, if you own 15 deeded weeks at a resort, do you get more votes than a person who only owns one deeded unit?

The subject here is the Board for the CSV-1 Trust, there are no deeds, you get a weighted vote by how many points you have in the Trust.

Oh, I see. As a deeded week owner, should I NOT be able to vote on this Trust BOD ? Are there two Boards, one for the deeded folks and one for the CSV-1 Trust ? This BOD thing is all new Greek stuff to me

                            Spence

I'm sending my ballot off today. Do you have any particular candidate that you would endorce besides Mr. Witten?

ps: my vote isn't worth much, only have 3000 trust points. But my proxy is all yours. I'm counting on you!

Mr. Witten is the only one I know personally and that's the only one I'll endorse.
