Why dbb hasn't been bidding lately, I don't know. Must be a part time job.

In my experience it has been very difficult to get EBay to do anything about shill bidding. The one time I did get something done involved me giving EBAY a lot of data and auction history more than once. Ebay is pro seller, IMHO and hates to do anything to disturb sellers. The penalty they enforced for shill bidding in the case I was involved with was minimal -- and yes it was involving timeshares.

          And your point is?

There is no evidence of shill bidding here, that's not what this thread is about.

Since the same comment came from about three different people and the details were pretty much the same in all three cases, I presumed that there was an active buyback program.

It's also consistent with what we were told during a tour, but I certainly wouldn't believe it just because a sales person said so.
I spoke with a sales rep at the resort a couple of days ago, and asked if they were buying back 2BR units. She only said that they would exercise a ROFR if they thought it was selling too cheap. I haven't found that right in any of my documents. The developer is sold out of their weeks, and has started a resale program. I assume they also get some foreclosed weeks. They have kept the sales center open to sell Quintus' David Walley's Resort, as well as the resales. Walley's has a priority exchange into HBR.

                Spence,

Looks like Devbuyback isn't after all the points out there. I was watching a few of the Trust resales the other day and noticed you picked up a few more without that much compitition for them.

I'm not certain how many points you already own but it's looking like your about to own as much as Mr. Cloobeck owns himself.

DBB only bid on those original six or so auctions, why, I don't know.

This is pure supposition but for what it is worth my quess is they need to establish a budget, business case and perhaps get Board approval before embarking on a full scale buyback program ... the first six may have been a trial for input to the business case.

More like 30.2¢/pt, you gotta take into account the fees.
