www.diamondresorts.com seems to be moving a little faster for me of late. The error message with the reclining belle with the laptop in her lap comes very often. I have found that in many of my availability searches, it doesn't pay to check the box saying "My Dates Are Flexible" as I usually get the error when I do that and if I don't check it I can get some results. Also today it has been returnig a lot of results for resorts that are across the country and many months different from my request.... not enough time for all the timeshares ®

I ran through three months of searches, week by week, and every time when there was availability close to my requested window it returned identical results regardless of whether the box was checked.

A big limitation I see with the current format is that the system only seems to look one week after your search dates. Also, it treats your earliest and latest dates as check-in and check-out. So if you're interested in what might be available at a given location during the next six months, if you input dates three months apart the system thinks you are looking for a three-month long visit. That forces you to repeat the search iteratively, changing the dates by one or two weeks each time, to check availability.
I sent a comment e-mail to them suggesting that they change the site so the user inputs the start and end of their search interval, then also indicates the number of days of stay the user is looking for.
I got a letter back from a VP supporting the suggestion.“Maybe you shouldn't dress like that.”
“This is a blouse and skirt. I don't know what you're talking about.”
“You shouldn't wear that body.”

As far as I know, there is no exchange fee for THEClub members exchanging within the Diamond system. In addition, there are no fees for assigning your exchange to another party (called a "guest certificate" elsewhere). There are however, as mentioned elsewhere in this thread, some fees for some other types of transactions.Frank & Debbie Newman
