  • Grand Beach or Cypress Pointe

I am planning a trip to Orlando for my family. There is a total of 7 adults and 1 teen. The following Resorts are available:

Cypress Pointe Phase I and II
Grand Beach Phase I and II

I would greatly appreciate any recommendations that can be offered. My number one interest is cleanliness. I am OK with the furniture being outdated if it is clean.

    Thanks for everyone’s help!!

While there are those that could accuse me of bias I'd go with Cypress Pointe Resort (Phase 1) if clean is the primary concern. Not to say the others aren't but the little details may get by them - especially at Grand Beach. CPGV would be my second choice wit GB third.

I think you can't go wrong at either one as far as cleanliness. We have stayed at both. We did like Cypress Pointe better in regards to resort layout, but thought that the units were bigger at Grand Beach and seemed roomier plus there was 3 bathrooms. We had less parking problems at Cypress Pointe than at Grand Beach. At both places, if you came back later, most of the parking near the units would be gone, but it seemed worse at Grand Beach and several times we had to park in the overflow lot.

Thank you timeos2 and Lisa for your responses. I made reservations at Cypress Point Phase 1 for a 3 bedroom. I will let you know how my stay is when I get back.

Again thank you for y'alls responses.

Jenni I couldn't offer any advise having not stayed in 2 of the 3 properties but I have stayed at CPR and really liked the 3 BDRM unit, resort and location for Orlando attractions. This from someone who is NOT at all into Orlando/Disney. Hands down better than OLCC.

John could give you the buildings to request as your time gets nearer to check-in. I have found Diamond/Sunterra to be very good about meeting building/unit requests over the years.
