Is a Guest Certificate required for a reservation at an II resort for family members who are included as purchasers in the Purchase and Security Agreement for Membership in the CSV-1 Florida Trust, now Diamond Resorts U.S. Collection?
We, the parents, owned a 3 bedroom unit week at Grand Beach-1..
In Jan./04 the deeded week was assigned for 9000 sunoptions in The Club and in Nov/06 my step-daughter and her husband were purchasers with us when we moved to the silver elite level. We have since added a couple of additional points contracts which do not include the kids since they weren't present .
I called the reservation in and specificaly requested it in the kid's names without objection from the service rep.
The printed reservation came in our names.
I called DRI & the rep said she would e-mail a revised resevation. The revised one is my wifes name with the resort name missing!
Next I call DRI again & am told that a Guest Certificate must be purchased for all but the Primary Member! The Primary Member section of the contract is blank.
Next I e-mail II to request that the kids names be added as Member names on the II website . II replies that only"thoses individuals listed on the deed will be included and on the membership informaton profile "& they will request DRI to confirm the ownership. I have e-mailed DRI to advise them of the request & that the kids are owners on the main contract.
Hopefully the outcome will be positive for us but I wondered if others have had similar problems.
Paragraph 12 of the2007Buyers Guide For Members Of Club Sunterra to II
included with the purchase documents refers only to Guest Certificates for person without an accompanying Member.Nothing about a Pirmary Member.
