What was the gift? Earlier this year we got the photo storage box which I recall was discussed in previous threads here or on Tug.

I've been gone for the week but will be interested in seeing my mail when I get home.

At this point I can't name another developer that has ever provided so much as a Christmas card let alone any sort of gift.

Come to think of it, in years past I haven't received anything from DRI other than a bill either and we've owned with them since 1998.

No Gift for us. I don't think we're as valuable a member as you are...only silver elite. I think it's interesting that SC addressed you by your screen name here, and not by the name you campaigned under and the name in which I sent my voting proxy!

A very heavy crystal paperweight in the shape of a diamond inscribed with the company name. (I never got the photo storage box!)

I did get my shiney new II catelogue with Sunterra in big bold letters on the front. I suppose they went to the printer long before the name change although you would think that II knew it was going to happen.

Interval hasn't bothered to update their on-line resort database for the web addresses or some of the names of the resorts for Diamond either.

Did you notice the picture from Polo Towers in that shiny new I.I. book? That's a picture taken from the "owners" lounge which, BTW, was closed by DRI because it was costing DRI several thousand dollars per month to keep it open.

Maybe they plan to reopen the lounge. Lord knows when they closed it they didn't bother to let owners know it was closing. Somehow I doubt that it is reopening. It was suggested that the space once occupied by the owners lounge will become one or two new timeshares at Polo Towers or, perhaps a new "ultra" lounge that I suspect would be open to the public.

Personally, I feel that the convenience store should be moved to that location and perhaps something like a Starbucks Express and/or a Pizza Hut Express or small deli would do well there. Ssssomething much like what Marriott and Hilton provide for their owners.
