  • Gold & Platinum Elite Get Access Others Don't

    Happy Holidays To Y'all

I recently did the "Owners Update" at Grand Beach and the sales guy sent me an email asking me to reconsider my decision not to purchase 2000 points and become Gold Elite.
The reason he stated was Gold and Platinum members get access to inventory that I don’t currently as a Silver member… I have never heard this before and wanted to check with others to see if there’s any truth to it…

Spence have you heard anything on this?

From THE Club Customer Service Manager:
from an inventory management perspective there is not additional space allocated based on recognition level (Silver, Gold, or Platinum). This means that within the Club allocation there is no pool set aside for Elite, and within the larger inventory pool there is no allocation outside of Club's allocation that specifically Elite members have access to.

The info that a salesman told you anything to the contrary has been delivered to the top.

Don't You Just Love When They Lie To You

      Hey Scott
I want to keep your business good as GOLD.
Allow me to point out the difference between Silver and Gold. Gold has more discounts on anything that Diamond charges money for. They recieve 3 upgrades every year, thats more points left over to pay towards maintenance or additional vacations. Gold and platinum members get Developer unsold inventory, marketing inventory, Rental inventory, and all Weeks inventory. Thats all the owners not in the club or Trust. This is not available to you as a Standard or Silver member
Scott, you purchased 4,000 points April 7, 2007 for $7,760. Thats $1.94 per point and the prices have gone up as I explained 4 times since Diamond came in. I gave you 2,000 at $2.99 per point and this was to be the most signifgant purchase because of your statis within our company.
Don't be hard to get, recognize a good deal when you see it and take advantage while it is there. Her it is. Same price, financing all the same so can refer to your paperwork to see how I did the wrap and only one payement. I will still honor $160 towards maintenance for 2008 and the $180 darden (Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Bahama Breaze, Seasons 52). Here's the ZINGER, instead of 2,000 I will give you every year 3,500 points in your account. I'm sure you can do the math, that's 1,500 more at no additional cost. This would be $1.71 per point, below developers cost. I will also give you for 2008 an additional 3,500 points one time for usage.(this has an activation fee of $282.)
I will re-write the paperwork immediately. I need a response back S.A.P. Quickest is by phone so I can get paperwork done tomorrow morning and next day air it out by 2:00pm. My number is(???)???-????. As I have explained before, time is of the esscence.

It's amazing that (s)he put it in writing/email. They're either stupid, think you are a pushover, or know more than the rest of DRI put together.
