He's certainly making a big effort to at least appear more accessible to owners. There's been a big increase in communications from DRI, he has has e-mail posted (and he claims to look at it), he's more active on the at timeshare sites and has even wandered over here.
A week or so ago I gave them some feedback (via e-mail on the new website. The contact link generated an e-mail addressed to him, and yesterday I received a nice letter from a VP. Not a form letter either - my comment had actually been read. Of course, the proof is in the putting, and we have no way of knowing is this is just hype and manipulation or whether they actually are seriously paying more attention to owners.
But it would probably at least be therapeutic to send such a letter, knowing that it will probably get read, and who knows, something might actually come of it.“Maybe you shouldn't dress like that.”
“This is a blouse and skirt. I don't know what you're talking about.”
“You shouldn't wear that body.”

I'll go you one better. I've spoken to him personally about it on the phone. I understand closing something that is costing you money. I have no issues with closing the lounge if it's losing as much money as what I was told.
My issues were that owners were not told. Something that should be corrected now that Mr. Cloobeck is back in charge. Communication is better than what it has been.
My issue right now is using the closed owners lounge as advertisement. Much like it was used to sell out Polo Towers on all those tours. I find it somewhat dishonest to use pictures of something no longer available to owners. Since the owners lounge was closed long before the buyout occured, I find it difficult to believe this was no intentional rather than the accident of having to get photo's to the press in time.
If DRI is going to be honest and upfront with owners, they need to be honest and upfront with owners. They need to quit using photo's of amenities they've closed down. DRI has a good product. There is no need to make that product look bad with deception.
BTW, I did E-mail Mr. Cloobeck about the photo. There was no responce to that E-mail.Our timeshare and other photo's at http://dougp26364.smugmug.com/

I always preferred getting things in a short, succinct note because it was easier to delegate and track.“Maybe you shouldn't dress like that.”
