Just thought it should be made public that currently there is no cost what-so-ever to sell or transfer a CSV-1 points package to another person. When you see closing fees or transfer costs mentioned on EBAY or elsewhere in regards to a CSV-1 Points Package, that is just an excuse for a seller to charge more.
For an owner to sell a contract, all they have to do is call Sunterra and ask them send them a "Transfer of Membership" Form. That form gets filled out, signed by both parties and witnessed, and is then sent in to the Reconveyance Dept in Las Vegas. That's all there is to it. No costs and no fees.
I thought this was the case, so I called Diamond Resort's Headquarters and spoke with the person who does these transfers this afternoon.
