  • Getting what you want from II

I want to reserve a week in the Caribbean for next May from the II directory.
I've used a few different Sunterra resorts and loved them.
The II directory says a 2 br is 6500 points.
The resort is on the island of Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands.
What is the likelyhood of getting what I want?
I think there is a $150 fee to book with II, so besides that is there any hoops I have to jump through?
    thanks for the help.

I think you just have to place an ongoing request (unless you see availability online at intervalworld.com) and once a match is found, your CLUB points get taken out of you DRI acct.

Yeah Ken, One big hoop, get an owner to deposit the resort that you want the week that you want it. Next to nil are the chances for that one, but put in an ongoing search and you never know, stranger things have happened.

        Search started

        Thanks for the replies.
I have sent out the search parties!
I called Diamond Resorts and started the search process. That resort allows reservations 12 months out so I have a few months to see if I can get a room. The very nice and understandable agent told me getting on the search list earlier the better.
I plan on using frequent flyer miles so I can't wait too long on the broad search of 2 months. We'll see.
Maybe someone out there is reading this and isn't going to use their week at the Alexandra Resort in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos in May or June 2009 (hint hint) and I'll come up a winner.
        happy vacations!
        Ken
