Not all 1BRs are the same - some are nicer than others - my husband and I checked out a few rooms and swithed during the middle of our stay.

The bathrooms are really nice. The Kitchen area is lacking - no stove or oven.

Unless you are in the front of the resort, the views are ok; you have to stand sideways on your balcony for a full view of the ocean...

When I was there last they were still up dating the whole rooms and marble tops in the kitchen area which was a year ago. Only some of the 2 bedrooms had cook tops none of the 1 bedrooms had them that I know of and you could get a portable single electric stove top and rice cooker from the front desk and none rooms have ovens.

They do have a nice restaurant and cafe there and there are nice local places to eat close by.

I had heard that the large restaurant is closed but the snack bar is still open.

If you can log on to the DRI site and go to the forms and go to, "North America - Concerns ยป Kaanapali Beach Club" they talk about this. I would cut and paste the information but I do not know if that is allowed here.
