Powhatan Unit Description

I was looking at availability online and noticed the unit description for Powhatan changed from upstairs & downstairs to standard & deluxe

The room details for that resort list the B units as the standard but I initially thought it would be the other way around since the B units have the loft which is almost like a 2 bedroom, but it would appear the hot tub in the A unit qualifies it as a "Deluxe" over the loft with 2 extra beds

It's very confusing

1. 1 Bedroom Standard
2. 1 Bedroom Deluxe
3. 2 Bedroom Standard
4. 2 Bedroom Deluxe
5. 2 Bedroom Deluxe Groundfloor
6. 2 Bedroom Deluxe Upstairs
7. 3 Bedroom Standard
8. 4 Bedroom Lockoff

A recent search for some march dates yielded the choices above.

1. B unit
2. A unit
3. D unit
4. C unit
5. New C unit if that's what letter they're using
6. New D unit if that's what letter they're using
7. C&D unit

I've yet to see a new C&D show up.
So a 2 Bedroom Deluxe is an old C unit unless they put the adjective for Groundfloor or Upstairs on it??

Sedona Summit Description

Looks like Sedona Summit has changed
The used to have
1BR
1BR Mesa Suite
1BR Sunset Suite

now it appears as
1BR
1BR Deluxe
1BR Sunset Suite

Where do you see the unit description? I have a week reserved, 2br, but I can't see the detailed descriptions that you mention...Thanks.

The descriptions we're talking about are what appears as choices when you go to search availability and book.

That's weird...I just booked a unit within the week, and none of this showed up, just the 2br sleeps 6 with full kitchen. And when I tried a search just now, a lot of units showed up, but not with the description you're talking about...you must be special!

When you do a search for availability you'll see the new descriptions, you will also see the new descriptions under resorts, room details there's a drop down list then shows the room types as standard and deluxe

Ok, now I understand...I was doing an RCI search, vs. Diamond Resorts...that must be the difference. Duh!

I have a 2BR starting May 16. But it says it is a 2BR sleeps 8/8. When I look at their descriptions the 2BR are all listed as sleep 6. Anyone know what the sleep 8 2BR is? Is it a lockoff maybe?

Original units at Powhatan are 3BR townhouses that sleep8, then they progressed to making lockoff units on the same floor plan, that is what you have. It is called a 2BR lockoff and consists of A&B units, A is ground floor 1BR with Queen, Queen sofabed, hot tub; B is 2nd and 3rd floor(loft) 1BR with Queen and 2-twins in the loft, in prior days the B unit had a sofabed and slept 6 but in renovations a few years back they did away with the sofabed in the Bs.
