The Board at CPR has prided itself on open communication and updates for owners and guests. For some reason we can't grasp many resorts/Boards seem to feel it is better to hide information. In our experience the more you inform the more likely the results are good. It takes effort to do but we feel it's well worth it.

I just came back from Orlando. I stayed in CPR(I) and Grand Beach resort.
I think that CPR(I) is soso. The room is not too clean and not providing free cleaning room service during the mid week. You can request but you need to pay $100. A lot of kids. In the room, you can hear people talking and walking very clear from next unit.

Grand Beach resort is super nice. Just like the room of Sedona Summit Sunset View. Free providing cleaning service during the mid-week.

The front desk staff is super nice. Rooms are super clean and new style. I love it. You can't hear people talking and walking from next unit or upstair. Also, less kids.

When I stayed at Cypress Pointe (I) a couple of years ago, the unit was quite clean. Of course, any resort can have a unit be not-so-clean, since it depends on the individual housekeepers. I once had a Disney room (not DVC, hotel) where it really seemed that the housekeeper had gotten distracted and left before finishing. (We asked to be moved to another room, and were.)

As for noise, I heard noise at Cypress Pointe (I) from the other side of our lock-off, but not from any other units.

Not the way it should be

Very important question as one of the absolutes of the General Manager at CPR is that every unit be immaculate. Every time. If it isn't it will be done and someone will hear about the problem. I have come to appreciate that level of care at CPR as all too often (thinking specifically of Wyndham and Wastegate) cleaning seems to be superficial at best. Not the case at CPR and if a unit got a substandard job I KNOW management would want to be notified immediately. It can happen anywhere but if it does give them a chance to fix it.

I've never had a disappointed guest
              at CPR or CPGV.
It seems to me that NICKY just likes to complain,
otherwise she would have told us what she had done
at the resort to try to rectify the situation.
Kinda reminds me of someone else on these forums.

Timeos2, the current pictures dated 6/9/08 are great on the updates at CYP I.

I will be exchanging into the resort in Feb 09 for my birthday.

We are looking forward for the many changes at CYP I.

Just reviewed the new photos of the construction updates at CYP they looked great. I like the ideal you are adding gas grill in this area. May be Greensprings Vacation Resort will follow you lead.

I see that the new outdoor recreation facilities are moving along. The basket ball court looks complete, and I know the grilling area has been redone after inspection problems.

But, what is the status of the tennis courts?

We are going down on August 9th, and my daughter was hoping to be able to play tennis while there.

The rebuilt tennis court at CPGV, now located at the front of the resort by the entrance driveway, has reopened. It is available to guests at both resorts. The tentative opening date for the CPR recreation/picnic area (minus the Gazebo and gas grills which still await approved permits) is 8/1/08. She may be one of the first to use the professional tennis court at CPR! In any case she'll have at least one and most likely two tennis courts to choose from during your stay.

                            CPR Experience

I just got back from CPR. Stayed 7 days and left on 7/18. It was my first time there. Nice place, not fantastic, but nice. The rooms are nice, clean, kitchen fully stocked. The main building is nice. The game room could use some updating as well as the gym/weightroom. Some of the weight machines are old and not working. Pools were nice and clean. There is a small market where you can pick-up some essentials at rediculous prices (to be expected), but it's in the Phase II/Villas section. CPR has not elevators in the building, so if you're on the 3rd floor as we were, arriving and leaving are a bit of a hassle, lugging the luggage up and down. The Villas have elevators.
They were doing construction on the tennis courts/basketball area (early morning noice), but appear to be close to complete. They were laying sod the day we left.
The only real complaint I, or rather my wife and daughter, is the bathroom. We had a 3 bedroom (2 bedroom with a lockoff). There is no door that separates the toilet area from the rest of the bedroom in the main bedroom of the 2 bedrrom unit, or the one bedroom lockoff unit. The one bedroom unit looks more like a honeymoon unit, since the jacuzzi tub is in the middle of the bedroom and the toilet around a corner - again, no privacy door.
Other than that, nice place and in a very convenient location to Disney (Downtown Disney is less than one mile).

THE number one complaint about the units. Of course that was the original "European" design according to the sales weasels - but Europeans always ask why there are no doors so maybe that isn't where it came from?

There is a plan to change the master bath areas during the next unit renovation. Doors will be added (along with all new cabinetry, new tile floors, granite countertops and more). That should be started in 2010 so until then, except for a few models, no doors.
