That's cool.
Like those highly intricate disco things and electric slides.
Takes practice but well worth it and the Astaire studio is right here.
and now I AM showing my age.Lawren

Pink:
I hope you have not given up on DRI .
You can get many vacations in locations where you can use taxis or excursions from the the timeshare. In 06 our family got 4 weeks & 3 days in 2 bd units for 15300 pts & in 07 5 weeks for 14550 pts.
You have something that can give you & your family great value.

I do appreciate what you are all saying but for me this has been 2 years of trying to get help and now after so many phone calls and emails I have the chance to stop all of the stress.
I have had them on ebay about 4 times with no joy and I literally took them off ebay the day I joined up here because I had just gotten an email from Diamond telling me that I could not sell them at all and they could not be transferred.
I did give them my full details and the types of memberships etc. I would love to get some cash back but everyone's lives are different and for me 2 years of mixed info, no holidays & paying out to have my emails & calls ignored has been too much for me...I don't want to prolong it any more.
I appreciate you may think I am silly but it is easier said when you are in a confident position about it.
Again I thank you for the email addresses and help.

It's dealings like this that really give TS a bad name. I am almost embarrased to tell people I own multiple TS's now. Regardless how much obsolutely amazing trips we've done over the past decade +, ppl seem to cringe when the word "timeshare" comes up. I just now tell them I own shared condo property at some wonderful vacation spots throughout the US, and leave it at that.
Pink, if you are still on board and wouldn't mind trying - I would be willing to arrange about 30 minutes of time this upcoming weekend to call you (you are in England?) and answer some questions for you (since I am also relatively new to DRI), and possibly give you a hands-on demo on how this works. Please send me an email or private message (PM) me if you are interested.EMAIL me if you wish, do NOT PM

I know you keep saying you've been trying for 2 years to get help and that is obviously fueling your desire to dump your points and run.
But think about in this way instead....Sunterra (the company that talked you into buying the points and then gave you the run around) is no more. They have been purchased by Diamond Resorts International and it APPEARS that DRI is trying to do things differently...read: better.
Maybe you can consider this as the "start anew point", realize that you have some people here that are very willing to help you understand what you have, and plan some great vacations for you and your family.

Pink, Don't give up! Let the willing members help you. You have been frustrated and upset for two years. Now you have found help! Finally! At least give someone a chance to show you the wonderful things you have been missing. If at that time it is still not for you then make that decision to unload it. But don't let them (sunterra) ruin what you paid good money for. Let them (members and DRI) show you the way. At that point then make an educated decision but not until you know. And YES you can sell what you have for something. And I am sure the forum can help thru that process if that is the decision. Good Luck and Hope you find the answers you seek before giving up.

honest
If I am being totally honest. I am very scared to hold onto the points now. i know i keep going on about the length of time i have been trying but i feel like if i don;t take the opportunity to jump now they may never give it to me again & then I will be truly stuck if I want to use them.
They have sent me the documents to release my points but I have not signed them yet.
is there a list somewhere that tells you how many points the different places cost?

Atta girl!
give it a try. I promise the people here on this forum will do their very best to help you make the most of your purchases.
Is it you can't drive or that you prefer not to? Diamond has some very nice resorts on St Maarten where you could get by for the most part with no vehicle. But you would like to see the various beaches and the french side at least a day or 2.Lawren

If you haven't signed your points over to DRI, don't do it. Since you live in England, should you consider a modest investment joining the club to take advantage of their European destinations, e.g. U.K., Paris, Nice and Costa Del Sol.
If you must get rid of them, there are too many people here or at tugbbs.com to pick them up from you for free or for a small price (2K is not unreasonable).
Alternatively, learn how to rent them out. Reserve hot locations, e.g. Maui with your points a year in advance and rent them out to recoupe your investment.
With knowledge, there are many ways to manage your "headache".
