If I am being totally honest. I am very scared to hold onto the points now. i know i keep going on about the length of time i have been trying but i feel like if i don;t take the opportunity to jump now they may never give it to me again & then I will be truly stuck if I want to use them.

I know we're asking you for some faith here, but please trust us. You won't be stuck with them. Your points have real money value. There is no need to give them away, getting nothing in return.

If you stick learn to use the system and later decide it isn't worth it, the worst case is that you can still give them away; there are lots of people here who would gladly take them off your hands for free. But more realistically you can probably sell them for at least $US 2000.

You're actually in a very strong position now, except for your emotional state.


Take the free lesson from winger. Then book yourself a nice vacation. Then decide what to do with your points.

seeing she has csv points (non CLUB)- that is in itself only good for the 16 trust properties correct and NOT includes European resorts, correct?

what's current cost of converting to CLUB so she can access all CLUB resorts including one's in europe? still $2995? where best to convert if pink is in europe?

if convert/join the CLUB, does this give her 13 mo priority for euro resorts or only trust resorts?

how far in advanced are top euro resorts booked in advance?

Doesn't matter where she lives, that's the group of resorts. Supposedly, the fee is $2995 but finding the salesman who will do it is problematic, they al want more money for more points.

To a Club member that doesn't own European points, the window for booking Europe is 10months for their points. 'Trust' ownership gives Home Club Advantage of 13months only for those resorts above (and only for trust inventory (not deeded inventory))

I can share my Euro experience.

Club member can book 10 months in advance. Hot locations during high season, ie. summer in Tuscany and Paris year round is difficult to book. After said that, being a club member, I was able to book six months ago two weeks in Paris end of March. I went to Tuscany in November. Though wet and rainy, the hill towns cannot be beat. Nice in July and August can be difficult.

There is always something available in UK, if booked 10 months in advance. Availability in the beautiful summer in Austria and Germany is abandant. Don't know winter availability since I don't ski.

Spain (Costa Del Sol) and the Islands is easy if booked 10 months in advance. In fact, this is the area I would take advantage of the 59 day window, unless going during school holiday.

If not because of their euro resorts, I would not have joined Sunterra 11 years ago. I have been to a few of their hot destinations and have been watching their availability every week.

I have not have much luck on my searches - you mind finding something within 60 day and around 10 months from now that are open? I saw a few Spain (Costa Del Sol) at 10 months.

What is "the Islands" you are referring to?

she canNOT use II because she is not currently in the CLUB (correct me if I am incorrect). As I understand it, one has to be in CLUB to exchange CSV points for II resorts.
