Whatever happened to CLub Select? If still operational, please furnish links.

P.S. I have had as many bad experiences with the "new owners" as I had with Sunterra. One of their execs told me that since they are a private corporation they can do whatever they want to do. I know this is the truth, but is there ANY timeshare company who has ANY knowledge of customer relations or CARES about their customers?

The price increases by Diamond is worse than a $4.00 bottle of milk . . . or $4.00 gasoline. I have way to much money invested in Diamond and my value for a dollar spent is about 30% less now, and I question my investment. If Diamond ever leaves II, we are in real trouble as II is their ONLY benefit at this time (for a value consideration).

The computer system of Diamond I believe to be worse than RCI's . . . and that is inept at best.

If you enter the old THE Club Select - Reservation Search
it takes you to THE Club Select - Reservation Search
where anyone can book the weeks that members have 'deposited' for cash. If you log in then the prices change to about half or you can book with points. Unfortunately they still don't seem to be able to put a guest's name on the reservation.

      Club Select is still there

The old Sunterra Select is not called THE Club Select with Diamond Resorts.

Go to their regular sign-in website:
      https://www.diamondresorts.com/index.aspx
      ... but don't sign in.

There is a link to THE Club Select on that sign-in screen, below the photo/illustration.Clicking on that link takes you to THE Club Select website, which is:
THE Club Select - Reservation Search

Reservations with THE Club Select must be for 7 days.

        Price increases by Diamond

While Spence & Doug are much more the experts it seems to me that the large point increases are for the new deluxe units at resorts such as Sedonna Summit & Powhatan & for Polo Towers thru the Club rather than II.
The older units are still available as is Desert Paradise in Vegas & resorts on the Strip thru II at more reasonable prices .

We still find great value, within Diamond at under 59 days ,Club Select & specials . For example, a 2 bedroom unit at Powhatan in May for only 1000 pts seems like a great deal with all the attractions that are available there in May.

Why isn't San Luis Bay Inn listed under California resorts? I realize DRI owns only a portion of the units. We own there, bought thru Sunterra. Seems I can't reserve using my points.

Sorry, I should have noted that I'm looking at Club Select. The drop-down window of resorts under California does not list it. In any case, the search in either Club Select or DRI Reservations is very cumbersome. Is there any way to search blocks of time (as in II) rather than entering specific weeks ie arrival date/departure date?

Just click the box that says My Dates are Flexible BUT.... I've found that if you do that it does not return availability that I know is there!

Exactly. That's been my experience too. For SLB I always get "no availability". I hope at some point they follow II's model and allow searching within a large block of time.

SLB is one of the places that is been hard to get unless you book early. I know that DRI does not have all of the room there so it is a smaller amount availability plus it's one of the few in California.

Just curious. How do you know availability is "there"?

'Cause if you don't check the box and put in exact dates it's there and it will book.

Since we are pretty flexible, I want to see several months of availability at a time. Is there an easier way than punching in one week at a time?

You can see more than one region at a time. Just modify the URL and add additional resort codes to your search. I have two URLs bookmarked as favorites. One is for North America and one for Europe. You can see they have a variable called isEu which has to be true or false, so you need to search North America and Europ separately.

It still is a pain. I would rather see blocks of time rather than punch in one at a time also.

But I think the problem is, on II you know everything trades in one week blocks. Whereas in DRI, you can book 2,3,5,10,15 days.

So how would blocks be displayed properly?

I think we have gone full circle and takes me back to my original question.
While it's true you can book any number of days in DRI Resevations,
"Club" search is for 7 day-blocks and SLB is not listed under California. Why?
