Just learned today that you can now cancel reservations online, this is new. It's a little hard to find, when you're in the Itineraries section and have a specific itinerary listed, click on More Info, then click on Cancellation Info, it'll bring up a page that shows you how many SunOptions the reservation is and how many points you lose if you're inside the 60 or 30 day windows if you didn't buy the RPP. Click on Cancel Reservation.

Spence,
In my case.. buying a deeded SVM. What program will I be part of?
I'm guessing Home Resort Advantage?
So owners in the trust will have an extra month of priority?
Do I have to put my SVM week in Sunterra evey year? What if I want to stay there and book outside Sunterra?
I found out I get 9000 per 2bd deeded 1-52 week I own.
However to book a prime week it will cost me 12,000 points.
Anyway around that?

SunterraSelect functionality at sunterra.com
Sunterra Select is a new feature which is currently being tested and will be available for use May 15, 2006. This is an upgraded version of ClubSelect.
These are non Sunterra resorts deposited with Sunterra through our exchange program ClubSelect.
Members and non-members will now be able to book reservations from the deposit list online. (I suppose non-members can only book reservations for the Public Rental cash price.)
Members will also be able to check the status of their deposits on the Sunterra Select website.... not enough time for all the timeshares ®

A way around the 12000 point issue
Yes, but only for inventory that is in the Trust. This means that your inventory at SVM is not available to HCA until the 10month point
If you put your SVM week in the Club, it's in the Club.
I've been told that because you could book the prime week with your original FLOAT before the Club, they will overide the points and let you have one prime week at the 9000 points, call CLUBSUN and ask that specific question. This would only work once per year as your 30,000 points contract can't be used that way.

Originally posted by jonellenHi, there. You can get around the 12000 point problem. I had the same issue. I only owned 9000 pts and wanted to go to Scottsdale Villa Mirage for Xmas, which took 12000 pts. So I gave them 6500 SunOptions for a trade into Interval International, and they were able to give me a 2-b edroom unit for the Xmas week. Of course, they don't tell you that, but I've done it twice already.... not enough time for all the timeshares ®
