Just got back from Greensprings

I got a 2 bedroom from 3/31-4/10 for 1900 points, somehow. I don't quite understand (maybe it was a monthly special?). I booked before 59 day availability (9 January I think), because I figured "how could it go any lower?" And 1900 points for those dates did seem to be the bottom. A few days later they were at 3800 points and stayed there.

Anyway, I stayed in a re-furbished room. They are very nice and the units are huge. Never got to use either the whirlpool jet tub or the steambath (or any of the other resort facilities for that matter) as we were always on the go, hauling the kids to Williamsburg, Jamestown, Yorktown, DC, and Richmond.

Sales pressure was very low (by Kaanapali Beach standards, lol). At check-in they offered us 2 free tickets to Busch Gardens Europe to attend the presentation. We declined and that was that.

I think Greensprings Vacation Resort and Powhatan has some kind reduce points from THE CLUB going on.

This is for Spence W. It has been reported on the TUGS Board that Greensprings Plantation outdoor pool is closed. What is going now with the outdoor pool being closed this time of the season?

Lots Going On at Greensprings

During your next visit to the resort, you will begin to notice the many exciting changes that are underway. First, we are making several upgrades to the in-room offerings. A few examples are:

• Mattresses: Top-of-the-line, double-sided pillow-top mattresses.
• Bathroom Amenities: Custom-blended facial and bath soaps, shampoo, conditioner and lotion.
• Bathroom Terry: New and higher quality bath, hand and face towels.
• Upgraded Bedroom Linen: Higher quality pillowcases, sheets and pillows, and duvets replacing bedspreads.

These new and improved items will make your stay with us even more enjoyable.

We will be resurfacing the outdoor pool in the spring to ensure it is in great condition and ready for use when the weather breaks. We are also looking into upgrading the pool furniture for both the indoor and outdoor pool areas.
