  • Elite Or Not??

    Hey everyone,
I could use some advice on joining club sunterra. I recently purchased a resale on ebay and i am going to join "The Club", it was my intention when purchasing the resale. When i spoke to the sales department today, i was given two options
    1) Regular club 14,500 points for 2995.00
    or
    2) Elite status of 15,000 points for 4000.00
The salesman told me that the upgrade options with elite status are the biggest perk of upgrading, along with an 80.00 a year reduction in MF's.
Can anyone is who is an elite member tell me if they think it is worth the extra 1000.00 fee.
    Thanks so much!!

I would go with OPTION 2.

I've never heard of Elite before. How do you become "elite"?

To become elite you need to have 15,000 points

If that's the case, why not buy another resale and get them both into the club for $2990? Aren't you more likely to get alot more points for the extra $1000 by buying resale than the 500 points you'll get from DRI?

I think that the 14 or 15k points is more than enough for my travel needs, and dont want the added MF's. So i would upgrade just for the benefits of elite status.

Under Option 2 as Spence suggest. How much would maint fees be per year and what salesperson at what Diamond Resort offer you that deal?

Sound like a great deal 40,000 points for $4,000.

                MF's go from 903 to 823
                and its for 15000 points
any salesman at Polo Towers can offer this deal

I'm with Spence on this one. I'd go with option 2.
