How do I go about selling my portion of the Florida Trust? My husband and I paid $14,000 for 5500 points per year three years ago. How do I determine value? Based just on amount of points we have? I can't get in touch with Diamond Resorts.

If you'd like to see what you can get on the open market, go to ebay and search completed auctions, you'll find that they sell for about $1100.00 plus closing costs.

But think of all those "prepaid" vacations (for only the annual fees) they must have enjoyed in three years! Unless of course you count the money spent which makes each annual week a bargain $5000 (assuming $700 annual fee and $1100 sale price). See why timeshare can be such a great way to go if you believe the sales pitch and buy full fare? Otherwise they would just have a couple thousand dollars in hotel receipts.
